June 2: The temperature was actually forecast to reach 100+ degrees, but there was a welcomed cloud-cover shielding the sun's rays and offering relief from what could have been a terrible scorcher. The head winds, on the other hand, were fierce making for an exhausting day. Hiway 93 runs south along the foot of the Egan range of mountains. Along the road were forests of pinon pine and scrub oak, as well as another infestation of Mormon Crickets.
