June 3: I was amazed by the wild flowers along the road offering splashes of color amidst the browns and greens. I was on the road by 8:00, after filling the water bottles. The air was not too hot as yet and the wind calm. But the amazing news is that the slight breeze was now coming from the NW, gently assisting me. I was greatful as I didn't have a great deal of energy, expending so much yesterday and not being able to eat very much.
