May 29: With the aid of earlier seasonal rains the Nevada desert wears the colorful garb of Spring. The tour through the basin was filled with scrub bushes and typically sage, which filled the air with its sweet fragrance. There were also surprising wetlands featuring a wide variety of water fowl, and finally, all surrounded by a magnificient backdrop of snow-crowned peaks.
