August 15: Cycling in the Viginia hills was gorgeous. The landscape appears to be pains-takenly manicured and brilliantly green. No more rusted-out cars along the road. I had the privilege of spending a wonderful evening in Radford, Virginia, with Dr. Thadd Lee and his gracious wife, Sarah, and 8-year old Sam. They opened up their beautiful 100-year old home, dined me, and shared stories of Thadd's Trans Am bike trip several years earlier. I rested very well tonight. Regretfully, I don't have any pictures of the Lee family. (What was I thinking?)
