August 13-14: In Bailey, CO, along the rushing Platte River, stands the historic Glen Isle Resort. Established at the turn of the 20th century, Glen Isle has been the rural mountain retreat for families for generations. Barbara Tripp, the owner for the last 60 years still greats guests at the front desk. Mrs. Tripp is 86 years old. There is no way to describe this special place, except to say--if you are planning a holiday to this region of Colorado and would enjoy a wonderful, comfortable, peaceful, rustic Colorado experience, then Glen Isle Resort is a "must see". BTW, Paul and I stayed here 3-days and enjoyed every minute of it.
