July 30: Western Kentucky was rich and green with lots of rolling hills. The Sebree drug store was reminiscent of a by gone era when soda fountains and lunch counters offered soup and sandwich, a fountain drink, topped off with a chocolate sundae—all for the "99 cent lunch special". The prices have gone up but the small-town charm still remains in Sebree.
