August 2: Just up the road from Sonora, near Hodgenville, is the birth place of Abraham Lincoln. Nestled in the beautifully forested park is enshrined the log cabin where he was born. I say "enshrined" because the actual cabin is inside a granite building in order to protect it from the elements. It's a nice little park featuring a visitor's center and museum and a number of self-guiding trails. Visiting the park set the tone for another beautiful day of cycling.
