It seems John is a former stock broker turned horse farmer and ferrier (shoes horses). He and his wife, Charlie, gave up the big city pace and bought a farm outside of tiny Sonora. John invited me to come home to meet Charlie and "Big Jake", their 2-1/2 year old son, and to take a swim in their pool and be their guest for the night. Wow! Here is another example of the kindness of strangers. We had a great time sharing together. Later that evening we would meet fellow rider, Dan, at a restaurant in town and he would spend the night at their house as well. Thanks so much guys!
